Using Free Scripts To Make Money Online
15 years ago the internet was just starting on its meteoric rise. In those “Wild West” days, it was a free for all but those who were mostly involved were experts in computer networks and programming code.
The balance has significantly changed since then. Now, due to the rise of mostly free scripts, almost anyone is able to put together a website or blog with only a few hours training in HTML.
Enter webtrepreneur hopeful ‘Jonk’ from Australia. He’s 23, knows very little of coding but has a suite of different kinds of websites. Each of them uses a script as a core part of its functionality.
He’s set up two blogs - The Manifesto Blog and Mac Admin, the first about money saving tips and the latter about Apple Corp. Both of them were made using entirely free software known as Wordpress. There’s also a huge range of themes and plugins available to the budding blogger to customise their site to match their personality.
But blogs aren’t the only way. For example, he’s also set up a free script at his website Unblock MSN Messenger which lets people get around firewalls to use MSN Messenger.
This is the new generation of internet entrepreneurs, those who have made a speciality of combining the free resources and paid skills of others to create their very own homes on the web with little to none knowledge of coding themselves.
The Wild West isn’t so wild anymore.
